Uber ridesharing returns to Chicago and US cities

After a pandemic hiatus of more than two years, UBER is restarting rideshares in many US cities.

UberX Share, announces its reinstatement of shared ride options in the cities of New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.

This summer it will restart in more cities.

As a result of the pandemic, health officials urged social distancing, so the Uber company suspended the ride-sharing version in March 2020 in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Uber's senior vice president of mobility and business operations, Andrew Macdonald, said in a statement on Tuesday that it "reimagines the future of shared rides with greater efficiency and safety in mind," and that passengers can receive if they are paired with a passenger on the way, an initial discount and/or a 20% discount on your total fare.

The use of masks when sharing a trip in UberX Share is optional, as long as they request the use of a single seat.
