Signs agreement to unblock Ukraine’s grain exports

This Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin praised Recep Tayyip Erdogan for signing an agreement unblocking grain exports to Ukraine.

Putin commented: "With your direct participation and with the mediation of the UN, the issue related to the supply of Ukrainian grain from the Black Sea ports was resolved. Deliveries have already started. I want to thank you for this and for the fact that that, at the same time, a package of decisions has been made on the uninterrupted supply of Russian food and fertilizers to world markets".

He added: "Because, for many countries, especially developing countries, which are on the verge of big problems with food and fertilizer, such decisions, which were made with their direct participation, are very important."

On July 22, vital grain exports from Ukrainian ports were resumed by an agreement between Ukraine and Russia, which was brokered by the United Nations.
