More common is fatigue or drowsiness, and some children may have irritability, loss of appetite, headache, abdominal discomfort, swollen glands, diarrhea or vomiting, which improve in a few days.

Dr. Ashish Jha, White House response coordinator, said: "It's very similar to side effects that we've seen in older children or adults. Around 24 hours, some children, you know, don't feel as good, feel tired, they don't have the same appetite. But fortunately, there haven't been any serious side effects from these vaccines," "And again, after giving these vaccines to millions of children, it's really comforting to know that for young children these vaccines They are extremely safe."

Dr. Paulsen said his general picture is that side effects shouldn't alarm us.
