Pandemic has triggered soaring gasoline prices in Illinois

Due to the pandemic, Chicagoans had not seen such high gas prices, the American Automobile Association announced.
Illinois has an average gasoline cost of $ 3.41 per gallon, while Chicago continues to be higher per gallon at $ 3.82.

Nationally, Illinois is in the top 10 with a greater weekly increase as Delaware, with 10 cents a week, according to the AAA this is due to the cost of crude oil.

AAA's Andrew Gross commented that "... The decision last week by OPEC and its oil-producing allies not to increase production further only exacerbated the upward momentum in crude prices."
Since October 2014, gasoline costs haven't been this high, so AAA has no hope of improving them anytime soon.
