Explosion at a Shiite mosque in Afghanistan





In an explosion by a suicide bomber at a Shiite mosque in the northern Afghanistan city of Kunduz, 20 people were killed and 90 injured, Doctors Without Borders official Sara Chare reported.
Said wounded and dead were taken to the medical center in Kurduz.
 
Matiullah Rohani said that the explosion was carried out by a suicide bomber, inside the mosque at 1:20 pm in Sayed Abad.
 
Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mojahid said on Twitter "The security forces are at the scene and the investigation is ongoing."
The authorship of the attack has not yet been identified by any group.
