Donors pledge over $1.55 billion in aid to Ukraine

Danish Defense Minister Morten Bodskov after receiving ministers from allied countries in Copenhagen at a conference on long-term support for Ukraine said that a group of 26 countries committed to helping Ukraine, including military training and weapons supplies, will donate more than 1,550 million dollars.

In order to raise finance for increased arms production, the UK is creating a fund and its participants have pledged more than 1.5 billion euros to help Ukraine.

The Ukrainian minister added: "I am glad that we all have common sense, that there is no time for tiredness, that this is a marathon. For the marathon you need energy and, frankly, the main energy in this case is money. Our partners know that we need funding and have been willing to support us financially." And Reznikov was pleased with the results of the donor conference.
