Covid-19 vaccination mandate in Los Angeles schools





The teachers union and many parents praised the vote to demand covid-19 vaccines for children, a request by Los Angeles Unified School District officials, guaranteeing attendance at schools to take face-to-face classes, not virtual ones.

Cecily Myart-Cruz, president of UTLA, a union that represents teachers, commented: "Ultimately, we want our schools to remain open, and the best way to ensure that is to vaccinate as many people as possible in our schools."

Tens of thousands of students have had to be quarantined due to exposure to covid-19 and delta, as the sentiment of parents due to the echo of the expert warning that the contagion represents.
