City of Chicago Home and Business Protection Program with Free Cameras

Chicago city officials said home and/or business owners could receive free security cameras if they meet certain income requirements.

This Thursday, city leaders during a press conference announced the removal of barriers to the city's housing and business protection program. Therefore, security cameras that have been requested will be provided to eligible residents on a first-come, first-served basis.

They must apply as soon as possible to obtain them and meet the income requirements. This program will be valid until December 31, 2024.

Having received security cameras, officials encourage residents to register the cameras with Chicago Police.
