Chicago Promotes Order to Tow Vehicles Blocking Bike Lanes

A Chicago councilman introduced an ordinance to streamline safety in bike lanes for residents.
At the beginning of June, a three-year-old girl was killed in an accident in the Uptown neighborhood, prompting this initiative.
Therefore, vehicles that are blocking the bike lanes will be towed with the widening of the bike lane.
Some advice given by the non-profit organization Ride Illinois is, slow down when riding next to a bicyclist, three feet minimum space when passing a bicyclist, do not park in bike lanes, do not drive in these lanes, not honking at bicyclists, yielding, etc. Bicyclists are also asked to use lights when riding at night.
