Chicago Parlor Pizza Under Investigation

The premises located in Wicker Park, River North and West Loop, have been closed with a sign on their doors by the Department of Commercial Affairs and Consumer Protection since last month apparently due to financial situation.

The State Department of Revenue is leading this investigation for violations of Illinois tax law.
The allegations are taken very seriously by the BACP and the Human Relations Commission because they violate labor ordinances as well as discrimination from the city.
A statement to the press stated that “The City is working to conduct a thorough investigation into allegations that workers were not paid for overtime work, that employees were sexually harassed, and that workers were clients were discriminated against because of their race or age ”.
